I am almost five years old
And to me life is like a dance
Sometimes dance steps are hard
Sometimes dance steps are easy



 

Mommy says I’m a big girl now
But I feel like I am still very small
Mommy says it is time to grow up
But I really want to grow up slow





 

That’s why I think my life
Is just  like a beautiful dance
Please don’t let me grow up to fast
Cause I need to learn what I must do

For you know sometimes when you dance
You make some silly, dumb mistakes
So let me be little for a while longer
So I can make all my small little mistakes




 

You see I heard grownups talking
Saying its not good to grow up to fast
It has made most grownups forget
How to laugh and how to dance

For I know that I am on my way
On my journey, learning how to dance
So please don’t rush me to grow up
While I’m learning Ariana’s dance
